FRIVOLOUS MOTION Used in Toastmaster meetings, a Frivolous Motion is a humorous, exaggerated or peculiar motion designed to test the Chairman. A member can be programmed in advance to present the motion. The motion raised should be a subject on which all members can speak, move amendments and procedural motions. The object is to make the General Business of the meeting a learning and participation activity. |
